These no-bake Oreo Truffles are easy, delicious, versatile, and beautiful!

Aren’t many of our best recipes inspired by loved ones?

My husband and I met soon after I started my freshman year at college. Knowing very quickly that he was the man I wanted to marry, I poured a lot of time and attention into showing him my love–and of course that I was wife material. 😉

Because he loved Oreos so much, I made him a big batch of these yummy truffles for our first Valentine’s Day together. I wrapped them up in a cute box with a handwritten letter and it was a huge hit. It is one of the few treats that he still specifically requests I make for him 10 years later.

These Oreo Truffles are perfect for office parties, romantic gestures, potlucks, girls nights, and more. They’re quick, easy and do not require baking. I love making these as neighbor gifts, “thinking of you” plates for church, or making these truffles with the kids just for fun so they can enjoy decorating them.

How To Make Oreo Truffles

*Be sure to check out our tips for making Oreo truffles at the bottom of the recipe.

Truffle Ingredients

  • 30 Oreo Cookies
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese softened
  • 1 lb 14 oz Ghirardelli Dark Melting Wafers (or dipping chocolate of your choice)

Optional Toppings

  • Sprinkles
  • White Chocolate Drizzle
  • Cake Drip
  • Oreo Crumbs

1. Cover a large cookie sheet in parchment paper and set aside.

2. Place Oreos in a food processor/blender. Pulse 5-10 times or until you have a fine Oreo dust.

3. Pour Oreo dust into a mixing bowl. Add cream cheese and stir until you have a well-mixed paste. Don’t be afraid to dig your fingers in to help mix if needed! (You can use a food glove to keep your hands clean!)

4. Take about 1 TBSP of “dough” and roll it into a 1 inch ball. Set onto the parchment-covered cookie sheet. Repeat this process, leaving at least two inches of space between each ball on the sheet. Fill the cookie sheet.

5. Set the tray in the freezer (uncovered) for 15-20 minutes. While they cool, prepare any toppings you plan to use. Drizzling chocolate, grinding additional Oreos for crumb toppings, open sprinkles, etc.

6. Remove tray from the freezer. Completely cover each ball in dipping chocolate and place back on the tray. Immediately add Oreo crumbs or sprinkles to prevent chocolate from hardening before those toppings are added.

7. Repeat until every Oreo ball is covered. If using Cake Drip/drizzling chocolate for decoration, add now.

8. Place in the fridge for 20-25 minutes to allow chocolate to fully harden. They are now ready to serve!

Delicious, easy Oreo truffles for any occasion!

Notes

  • Truffles will need to remain refrigerated due to the cream cheese filling. Store in airtight container once chocolate has set.
  • We recommend consuming/freezing within 3 days of preparing.
  • Use regular Oreos rather than Double Stuf. Too much filling will change the consistency of the truffle mixture.
  • Don’t have a food processor or blender? Grab a gallon size Ziplock bag, toss in the Oreos, and use a rolling pin to crush the cookies into crumbs through the bag.
  • Switch up the recipe/decor for various holidays! Add some mint extract and green food coloring to White dipping chocolate for Christmas/St. Patrick’s Day. Add some heart sprinkles and pink drizzles for Valentine’s Day. Add some funfetti sprinkles for birthdays! Make them your own and share any fun ideas you have in the comments below.
